Continuing Education Credits Available


Receive professional continuing education credits for engineers, architects, energy managers, energy auditors, planners, and others.

Sessions and Credits

Individuals requiring a certificate for continuing education credits must check in for each session or plenary attended. AIA members must write in their AIA member ID at the back of the session room. LEED professionals must now self-report their CEs earned.

Professionals eligible for continuing education credits include: Professional Engineers, Certified Public Accountants, AIA members, and LEED professionals. Please note that not all sessions offer AIA LUs and LEED CEs.

The 2018 State Energy Conference has been approved for the following professional continuing education contact hours:

  • NC Professional Engineers: 1.5 PDH for each complete breakout session or plenary.
    Maximum individual credits: 11.5 PDHS
  • AIA Member Architects: AIA LUs to be announced once approved.
    Maximum individual credits: 7.5 AIA LUs LUs
  • LEED Professionals: USGBC has approved 1.5 general CE hours for many sessions. See the summary linked above for specifics about each session.
    Maximum individual credits: 7.5 AIA LUs
  • Self reporting professionals, such as CPAs and CEMs must check in at each session or plenary attended to receive a certificate.
